The challenge
Customers struggle to find trusted home-service providers nearby, and small providers have no simple way to list and schedule their work.
The solution
One Expo app with two modes: customers browse nearby services by location, book events and message providers in-app; providers create and update services and manage their events.
Architecture
An Express API in TypeScript on MongoDB with Redis-backed sessions, Argon2 password hashing, and photo uploads to S3. In-app chat runs on TalkJS.
The result
A complete two-sided marketplace, from sign-up to chat, built by one engineer.
