The challenge
A self-published author needed one place to present his books and the characters behind them, sell editions and merchandise, and publish news, without asking a developer for every update.
The solution
A Next.js site that pulls books and characters from a GraphQL API, posts from a WordPress blog and products from Shopify. A React admin dashboard lets the author manage books, characters, images and purchase options.
Architecture
TypeGraphQL and Apollo Server on PostgreSQL through TypeORM, with role-based access control, Auth0 tokens verified by JWKS, and image uploads to S3.

Three connected apps that put the author in charge of his own catalogue.
